I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st! This past summer and fall have just flown by. But I'm very excited that the Christmas season is now in full swing. After all it is the most wonderful time of the year!  And so, I was inspired to put together a little warm and cozy style inspiration. I'm totally in love with over sized sweaters, horizontal stripes and stretchy warm fabrics for the winter. It just makes me want to snuggle up with a warm cup of chai tea or something of the sort.

This past weekend was surely a blessed one. The days were filled with left over Thanksgiving food, holiday shopping, office organization and my most favorite part, first time shopping for our little boy. That's right, we received the news last week that we will be welcoming a sweet little baby boy to our happy little family. We are beyond thrilled and I know hubby is already fantasizing about TBall practice and the like.

Pumpkin Truffles and Chai Tea Lattes

 

Two of my favorite things form the season is pumpkin flavored everything and spiced chai tea lattes. Those pumpkin pie truffles are from a dreamy Etsy shop called The Happy Bakery. The bakery has decadent offerings such as: pecan pie truffles, carrot cake white chocolate truffles, peanut butter fudge cake truffles and more.

Soft & Neutral

Today, I'm reeling with excitement because at tomorrows doctors visit, we get to find out if our little babe is a boy or a girl. Up until this point in the pregnancy, I've prevented myself from purchasing any baby items until we find out the sex of our little tike. But I must say I've been oogling these gender neutral baby finds. I love the idea of mixing gender neutral elements with obvious gender elements to create a soft yet fun space for the nursery.

Weekend Blessings

 

 

The above images are from this past weekends camping trip with friends. The park was a little over two hours from Austin and felt like worlds away from our normal daily lives. The air was sweet, the stars were brilliant, the s'mores were abundant and there was a grittiness in the air that only nature can create.

I have some fun design projects to finish up this week and then it's off to Florida on Friday for an early Thanksgiving celebration with the family.

Weekend Blessings

 

 

 

 

This past weekend was lovely, leisurely and full of: soup, smoothies and maternity clothes shopping. Saturday evening I made turkey bacon wrapped, cream cheese filled jalapeno poppers to accompany all the football watchin and Sunday we took a trip to the spa. Le Sigh. I got my first prenatal massage and I think baby loved it!

The blessings that life gives are so abundant. I am humbled and grateful.

Italian Farm House

Oh how lovely it'd be to retreat to an Italian farm house for a week or so. Since I won't be taking a trip like that any time soon, I was inspiration to create this board. The 'Grazie' notes were inspired by the simplistic rustic beauty of the Italian culture . Found here.
